If the cables run down the back of the seat tube (closest to the rear wheel) then it will be fine as the rear of the clamp is a then metal strap. The bulk of the clamp goes to the front. If the cables run down the front you'll have to find something else.

The bracket that mounts to the frame has a very narrow rear section of the bracket, so in most cases there is room to run the cable behind the bracket no problem, except in rare cases where the welded cable stop for the cable is welded right in the place where the bracket needs to be mounted. In the vast majority of cases, the bracket can be mounted above or below this cable stop and still allow the seat to fitted in the correct position. If you are still unsure, please contact your local Evans store, and if they have a seat there they should be able to 'offer it up' to your bike and confirm this 100% for you.
