The Kiss seat should fit most bikes that have a 'conventional' style frame with a regular seat tube on the frame. They also produce alternative optional support arms (sold seperately) to deal with frames where the seat sits too high/low, or tips too far back/forward. The seat is designed to be pretty universal, but it is impossible to guarantee it will fit every frame. Looking at the Specialized Sirrus, I believe it will more than likely fit ok though.

Question

Will this seat fit on a Dawes Sonoran Ladies 18" frame?

I was told in a shop that there may not be enough room on the frame to fit the attachment required to hold this type of seat. Thanks

I have checked the geometry of this frame and I would not advise fitting a rear-mounted childseat on this bike.
Looking at a front-mounted seat such as the Hamax Discovery might be a better option.

Hi,
A universal bush made of rubber mounted in the bracket fits frame diameters of 28- 40 mm.

The link below takes you to the Hamax safety system guide:

Question

Will the Hamax Kiss fit my men's GT Nomad Sport 2005?

I have a men's GT Nomad Sport 2005, which has a slightly unusual arrangement of stays underneath the seat (see photo).

Any ideas if the Hamax Kiss (or any other rear child seats) will still fit?

It just about fits my GT Zaskar. With the clamp positioned as high as possible up to the seat stays the height is just right and there is about 1mm clearance at the socket for each of the bars. My frame is nearly 20 years old though so I'd suggest trying it out, you'll only need to offer up the clamp and it will be obvious if it'll work or not.

The Hamax Kiss should be fine as it attaches onto the seat tube section of the frame.

Question

Fitting on the Seat Tube

Hi, Thsi seat bolts to the seat tube but my gear cables also run vertically down the seat tube. Is there a work around or should I look at an alternative product? Thanks

If the cables run down the back of the seat tube (closest to the rear wheel) then it will be fine as the rear of the clamp is a then metal strap. The bulk of the clamp goes to the front. If the cables run down the front you'll have to find something else.

answer 2
The bracket that mounts to the frame has a very narrow rear section of the bracket, so in most cases there is room to run the cable behind the bracket no problem, except in rare cases where the welded cable stop for the cable is welded right in the place where the bracket needs to be mounted. In the vast majority of cases, the bracket can be mounted above or below this cable stop and still allow the seat to fitted in the correct position. If you are still unsure, please contact your local Evans store, and if they have a seat there they should be able to 'offer it up' to your bike and confirm this 100% for you.

No, it fits directly to the seat tube and there isn't space beneath for a rack. You could take the rack off though.

The maximum weight for this seat is 22kg. It comes complete with the fitting bracket and standard support bar as shown in the picture which is suitable for most bikes (alternative support bars are also available if required). The support bar is quick release, leaving just leaving the small black mounting bracket on the bicycle frame when you don't need to use the seat.

Question

I have a trek 7210, can your shop fit this seat to my frame?

I am told that I should get a child seat which fits onto a panier, but a friend with a similar bike to mine had one of these fitted to her frame by one of your shops.
