answer 1
Definitely not easy to remove and replace. Quite fiddly to set at the right height as the rubber stops them turning unless the clip is fully loosened (this is of course a good feature once you have them set up). I would choose a different model if you want to conveniently remove them every day.

answer 3
Not really quick, need to unscrew the clamp and take off, but it is a finger wheel so quite simple.
Only takes about a minute to do, and perhaps a little longer to put them back on. A clip system might be quicker, but may also wear down and become less secure as the current set up in time.

However, I guess it would become a bit tedious every day!!

A little bit fiddly as each light needs to be unclipped and the cable which needs to be held by straps has to be unstrapped but the battery is quick as it is held by a wide velcro strap

When riding in unlit areas, the two lights provide a better sense of the depth of potholes, ruts etc, probably because long shadows are removed by dual illumination.

answer 2
I like having two as I turn one off when I don't need it, for example when the road is lit or just straight . I can also turn one light off and one onto low beam, so people can see me but saving battery power.

However, a single bright (350+ lumen) light will enable you to see further, so I have on eon my helmet.

The Terra 2 really only lights up the track in fornt of you, although it does that really well.

Personal choice but with twins like this you can have 1 set to wide angle and the other as a spot further out. Plus vary the strength so one is high the other flashing. Two gives you choice

answer 5
Yes, because these lights have a wide beam and focused beam which means you get a concentrated view and an over all view of the trail and minimises shadows. You can also point each light in differant directions/ slightly crossed so you get a view of the trail while going around corners

powerful* enough to ride in a trail at night comfortably. but not quickly, they need some help from a nice headtorch like the joystick mk5.

the fact is that they output useful light, not a square centimetre of spot light, you get from any lights from halfords. bear this in mind.

Question

Do I need to charge it before I use it?

Just bought this product after reading the good reviews. Just one question before I go out in the dak with it. Do I need to charge it before I use it? It appears to work but am concerned about prolonging battery life and getting stuck without much charge on them tomorrow night. Thanks in advance

The battery is about the size of an old style big mobile phone and can be mounted lots of places on the bike. It is fixed on by a very secure velcro strap and have used it off road with no problems (though it did get filthy). Really easy to fit and use. Would recommend it.

answer 2
The two lights have an 8 inch lead from each which join to a single wire that then travel to the battery pack connection. This wire is quite long and will easily reach a bag under your saddle.
Unfortunately no Velcro straps are supplied to stop the cable flapping about, but these are easily attained so not a major problem.

I haven't measured them but they are long enough to fit the battery behind your seat if you need. One single think velcro strap for the battery pack, nothing for the cable but I simply tucked the cable in with the battery pack as I attached the pack on the frame by the front fork

The brackets should fit any size bar. The brackets come with some rubber inserts to get the right fit. If these are too big / small just chop up some strips of old inner tube and add as many or few strips as you need to get a snug fit. This trick works for any clamp style bracket, so it's always worth keeping a bit of old inner tube in your tool-box for this purpose.
