answer 3
No, it's just an instantaneous cadence reading. The other measurements are fairly standard - speed, av speed, distance, time, 2nd distance that you can choose when to start,

Question

When the 'light' button is pushed, does the light stay on?

Most digital watches have a light option, but the light self cancels after a while. Does the light on this computer self cancel? If not, how much faster will the battery wear out with the light on?

I believe that this light will only stay on for a limited time in order to prolong the battery life as you say, typically this will be between 10-30 seconds.
I hope this helps

Question

I might be a little dim here but what's the difference between this 'double' cadence computer and the Cateye Strada Wireless Cadence Computer?

Double wireless has no wires at all and measures cadence.
Strada Cadence is wired and Strada Wireless does not measure cadence.
If I had to pay this much I rather stretch the budget a bit and get Polar CS200 that also measures heart rate and you can link it with Polar training program.

answer 2
The Strada Cadence computer is a wired, between the sensor and the computer, model.
The Strada Wireless Computer does not measure cadence, but has no wires.
The Strada Double Wireless Computer measures both speed and cadence using a single chainstay mounted sensor.

answer 3
Okay, there are three Strada’s available all with ever so slight differences:
-Cateye Strada Wireless 8 Function Computer - code 104038.
8 functions, cadence not included.

-Cateye Strada Cadence Computer – code 104039.
9 functions including cadence. Has a Universal cadence sensor and magnet. Requires CR1620 battery. Wired rear chainstay mounted speed and cadence sensor. Wire transmission distance 55inches - 140cm.

-Cateye Strada Wireless Double Cadence Cycle Computer – code 131842.
9 functions including cadence. It has a digital wireless system (ID coded). ISCtec sensor combines speed and cadence in one unit. Requires CR2032 x2 batteries. Rear chainstay mounted wireless speed and cadence sensor. Transmission distance 40 inches -100cm.

Sorry If I’ve missed any big ones, was trying to keep it short and sweet.

Question

Why won't my CC-RD400DW work when my Cateye Uno front light is illuminated?

I've tried everything, even syncing the sensor with the head whilst holding the illuminated front light next to it. The sensor ID was all set up, but then when it actually came to using the computer it wouldn't start.

It would appear, having contatcted the tech guys at Cateye, that the problem lies with progress. Apparently the electronics used in the Cateye Uno light can interupt the advanced strada computer. However, there is a simple solution....move the two apart!! Personally, I started with the computer mount on the bike stem with the light mounted on the handlebars immediately next to the stem mounting. I eventually ended up with the light mounted and computer mounting being at opposite ends of the handlebars, right next to the binding on the drop handlebars.

I've come across this before, it was solved by swapping the computers main unit itself, take it into the store of purchase and see what they say.

They all mount on the front wheel so there is not one that would work as it is only the back wheel that is spinning.

It is not compatible because this computer is not ANT+ enabled device (no 2.4GHz transmission). Cateye VC or V3 should be compatible.
