In my opinion No. They are more suited to alerting other road users of your presence.

answer 5
Not really, they’re more for being seen than for allowing you to see. Fine for town riding where the roads are lit, but for unlit roads a brighter light is needed.

You can not really see at all with any battery lights. To see you need rechargable lights.

I would say no, this light set was made just to get you visible on the road but wont give you enough light for serious night rides in darkness

answer 11
Hi, these lights are intended to make the rider more visible to traffic rather than light up the road ahead.

If you are looking for a light that projects a beam in front of you to see in unlit roads I would recommend looking at a more high powered rechargeable lightset.

Question

Where do they go?

Where are these things meant to go? One on the front and one on the back I guess, but of what and where?

You stretch the elastic fasteners around your handlebars or seat post and the fastners clip back onto the light at the back. Dead easy to attach and remove.

I have clipped the from one on the handle bar and the back one on the seat post. Have stood up to the vibration of ridding through woods with short suspension.

answer 7
You can attach them onto any post / pole on the bike so mine are on the front bar that fits the wheel on and same on the back. They are flexible and so will fit basically anywhere on your bike i.e. handlebars etc.
You don't need any brackets as they fit round and clip back onto themselves so are really easy to take on and off and they do stay put on the bike.

answer 8
The ryubber design and plastic clip on the rear of the light allows them to fit easily around the handle bars and the seat post of most bikes; you might need to turn one on to find out which is which though.

answer 6
The law in the UK states that bikes must have a front and rear light, no statement on a minimum of brightness is stated. These lights make your bike and yourself VISIBLE, they do not however light up the path ahead of you much at all. If you have a front light, a rear light and a number of reflectors - be they pedal, wheel or seatpost reflectors - you are unlikely to be stopped or questioned on your bike lighting.
