Simple answer is 'No'. The size I purchased allowed the screw to tighten fully without coming close to the paintwork, but I did add a wrap of old inner tube as they are not adjustable.

no as the screw does not protrude from the mount, instead it 'pulls' the strap up into the mount which tightens it to the frame.

Depends how much you tighten the srews. I think I bought slightly too big so had to tighten and that did damage the paint. If you are concerned put tape round frame first and make sure you get the right size gizmo.

Question

Do I take it that the sizes refer to the bike frame in my case the down tube?

Old Worksop built Raleigh with light weight frame so no mounting lugs. I also wish to know if these can be used to mount a pump bracket as I have one of the mini style pumps.

I used the Gizmo on an old steel cyclocross frame and the second smallest size worked well for me. The sizing refers to the minimum to maximum diameter range of the bands.No reason why a pump bracket wouldn't work with it but you may need to use slightly longer screws.

Yes it does. You need to ensure that the diameter of the tubing comes in the size range quoted. I added some old bike inner tube as padding which helped as they are not adjustable.

Size refers to tube diameter. You can use for your pump bracket, but will need longer screws than those provided.

Hi,

The sizes refer to the diameter of the tube that you're going to mount the brackets on. And they will be fine for mounting a mini pump bracket.
