Question

Will these fit a Dawes Blowfish 16"

We have been sent some rather Heath Robinson stabilisers for the above which seems to rely on a bracket that digs into the lower rear suspension arm or strapping to an outrigger, both of which would damage the bike and paintwork. These LOOK like they are more straightforward but I can't see how they support themselves. I'm looking for something more simple.

I would have all 3 touching the ground to begin with, so the bike does not rock, giving the child more confidence. As they get better at cycling I would raise the stabilisers a little, which will give them the opportunity to ride the bike with the stabilsers not touching the ground.

However, you should also follow any fitting instructions provided with the wheels.

answer 2
The stabilisers have to be close to the ground but do not have to be the exact height as the rear wheel , this will allow for uneven ground .
