I use a bike trailer around Edinburgh to get my daughter to and from school each day and we are now looking for a new one. Since I have been using it I have become convinced that it is safer than a bike seat. We have a lot of lights on it and it is naturally quite visible. Obviously because of the size it makes us a larger object on the road and cars seem to treat us with a lot of respect. Further, she is safe if I ever slipped and fell.

This Product is designed in Hi Visibilty colours and also comes supplied with a flag to ensure it is noticible to other road users. The only advice i can provide is to ensure that Your daughter is wearing protective clothing for example a helmet and also consider taking measures such as applying lights to the rear of the tailer that are perhaps set to a flashign mode.

kind regards

As a general rule of thumb I would suggest your child is ready to travel in this trailer when he or she is able to sit up un-aided.

I have used a double Ridgeback trailer and my daughter could use it from approx 9 months onwards - although we did find it useful to place cushions to either side of her to ensure a comfortable ride when she first started using the trailer.

Not to my knowledge, I imagine the various safety tests that need to be passed for production could not allow this.
Hope this helps.

This trailer is good for wind and rain showers , but not fully waterproof . The material and floor are similar to tent material and will act the same way in wet conditions .
