Once mounted you press the unit at the bottom, this switched between modes... RPM will come up at the bottom of the screen.

The link attached contains a how to install and set up the computer.
Hi, this particular version of the Strada is not wireless.
The first generation of the Strada Wireless Computer uses the less advanced wireless frequency which restricts the signal to a maximum range of 80cm and a direct line of sight between head unit and sender unit. This means that if the sender was placed on the chainstay in order to take a reading from the rear wheel it would be outwith the acceptable range and wouldn't work. As this 'cadence' computer needs to run a sensor from the chainstay, it therefore has to be the wired version.
There is an alternative which uses the higher transfer rate of 2.4GHz, is wireless and has the cadence function as it no longer needs a direct line of sight and has a larger range. The link can be found below.

The computer uses zip tyes to fasten on to bars or stem. The compuer will be fine to go onto oversize bars. Also the shape of the fork leg isn't a problem.
