Evans don't stock the correct bar for the Siesta. The bar only fits the Kiss/Smiley. Have just been advised by Amazon that the spare bar for the Siesta to fit a small frame has been discontinued.

I'm afraid this small frames support bar listed here is the one for Hamax Kiss and Sleepy seats only, so would not be suitable for your seat. You are correct that there is a different support bar available for the Hamax Siesta and Smiley seats, but I can't see it listed on Evans' website. I would suggest giving them a call as they may be able to special order you the part you need.

Question
Hamax Seat and bracket options - which is best for mtB?
Using Hamx on MTB - standard bracket is too far back over wheel and far too hight (as suspension means clamping bracket is also high - not fault with seat design) Need a bracket that is not as high and closer into the bike (brings seat forward) - anywhere I can get measurements of different brackets? Then will know what will work.
Otherwise a great product !
Thanks

Hello Mark. It sounds as though you have a Hamax fixed onto a full suspension bike. This is going to cause issues as you will need to allow for frame movement against the movement of the rails on the child seat itself. Ideally the seat should be fixed to a frame that is fixed. The seat will have the facility to slide forwards on the rails, but you should allow for some extra height to allow for some movement. Have a mechanic view your bike for the right adjustments. Hamax do not quote measurements as such, but I have copied a link from their websiteto aid you. http://www.hamax.no/admin/common/getimg.asp?FileID=1743
which hamax carrierbow best for specialized hardrock ladies bike?
Hi I have been given a hamax sleepy by a friend but it is too low on the bike and the seat hits the top of the back wheel. I guess this problem can be solved with the correct support bar but which would be best?
Thanks,
Pete

Option D is for small frames and therefore has more of a rise on it and should solve the problem of the carrier hitting the rear wheel. Hope this helps.
I've just picked up a Kona Blast 2011 (17inch frame) from Evans today. My existing Hamax child seat support bar only seems compatible with 700c wheels - the seat hits the tyre on the Kona. Can you advise me what support bar I need for 26inch wheels.
The shop assured me that my child seat would work on the Kona MTB.

We dont currently have these in stock i would suggest trying our special order team on 01293 530 849 and they would be able to check with the suppliers for you.
I'm looking for an extra bar for small frames for our Siesta seat. According to the Hamax official webpage it is numbered 603051. Which one of your options is this bar? Also, do you have experience of fitting a childseat with this bar onto a childback tandem?

Hello,
For small frames you will need option D which we have coming back into stock in roughly 2 weeks, please keep an eye on our website for sock updates. Unfortunately i do not have personal experience with fitting these seats to Childback tandem's however by looking at an image of the tandem it looks like this shall fit to the bike fine.
