There about 35mm to 40mm wide, I'm using 25mm tyres at the moment and will soon move to 28mm without any fears of the tyres fitting. However I think that I read somwhere that there has to be about an 8-9mm gap between tyre and guard but personally I think thats all relative.

Unfortunately not they are all designed to work with hybrid and road tyres.

If you need something larger please take a look at our clip on mudguards they will be suitanle for use with a 30mm tyre.

Unfortunately no these mudguards will not fit a Genesis Croix de fer because of the disc brake, but there are mudguards available that work around the disc brake.

I fitted these onto a Peugeot pfn-10 frame with 700c wheels with 25mm tyres which was built for 27 inch wheels so i encountered fitting issues such as trimming the front end of the rear guard to fit and trimming the v-stays as they were too long.
I may get a new 700c frame in the future and will try and replce the v-stays if they come up too short in transfering over the guards. Also if I want to remove the rear wheel I have to deflate the rear tyre completely as the frame is very tight with 700c wheels let alone with guards aswell.

Hi, these are designed for racing bikes with very skinny tyres.

As far as I know, the Dawes 51 is a hybrid - you would need the SKS wide road (most normal to wide hybrid tyres, say up to about 35mm) or the SKS hybrid (if you are using very wide tyres).

No i am afraid these wont fit your model due the felt not having the eyelets on the frame for the mudguard stays to attach onto.
