answer 2
It actually says on the packaging that it supports up to a 37c tyre. I bought these for my bike with 38c cyclocross tyres (small nobbles) and they don't fit in the front mudguard!
IMHO anything more than a 28c on the front will be tight because of the indent where the forks are!

unfortunately not, no, because these are for 700c wheels.

answer 2
Yes. Even if you have not the eyes on the frame you can cable/zip tye them in place. I have had a pair of SKS mudguards on a 20 year old MTB for the last seven years fixed with plastic cable ties. On the back I have got a rack that I regularly use with panniers.

answer 3
These mudguards are for road bikes that have 700c wheels. For a 26" wheel you need the wide - ATB version (link below).

However the question as to whether those will fit your specific bike (especially with it being such an old bike) is very tricky to answer.

It is totally dependent on whether your frame has rack/mudguard mounting points and the clearance between the frame and the tyres.

It's not uncommon to have to cut away parts of the mudguard with tin snips in order for them to be fitted to the bike (particularly in the cramped space of the bottom bracket area).

Then there is adding the rack - this is usually not a problem but again can make the job of installing the mud guards a bit more tricky - usually extra long allen bolts are required as it is likely that you will use the same mounting points for both the rack and mudguard.

My advice would be to take your bike to your local store where they can assess which mud guard and rack you need and offer advice on fitting, or even have the items professionally fitted by a mechanic in-store.

will these fit on a Genesis Croix de fer, with its disc brakes? The brake mechanism appears that it may foul the fitting bracket on the bike.

answer 2
These mudguards should be suitable for the 35mm tyres fitted to the Croix de fer, but clearance at the stay brackets may be getting tight.
The wider, Hybrid, model will give plenty of clearance, but will spoil the sleek nature of the bike.
Whichever you use you will have to 'engineer' a suitable fixing on the nearside, bending the stays to avoid the disc brake, making an extra bracket or using long screws and a spacer to suit the configuration. To date, there are no standard parts for this job.

answer 3
Hi
The mounting for the brake caliper and the mudguards stays occupy the same space. Manipulating the stays to fit may cause the guard to be mis-aligned. If you have fitted some road tyres try some clip on guards that will still give some decent protection. I have copied a link for some guards for you.

Yes these should be fine on a surly LHT. If not make sure you keep your receipts and packaging so you can get a full refund. Unfortunately the supplier does not list the width.

I fitted these mudgards to a Focus Crater Lake which has a front suspension fork.

It required the front guard's mounts to me shortened by about 2.5cm (with a hack saw) but look good and work perfectly

answer 2
The Wide Road mudguards will fit the Specialized Sirrus Elite but are really too wide for it. A much better choice would be the SKS Narrow Road mudguards, which will give all the protection you need and retain the sleek appearance of the bike.
The mudguards, 119432-NA, are available in Black, White or Silver (-BLK, -WHT, SVR respectively).

answer 3
Yes but the Narrow Road size will look better as they accommodate up to a 28mm tyre which is the size fitted to the stock Sirrus

Yes, no problems with the wheel size.

All you need are the braze ons on the frame (small m5 size holes at the bottom of the forks and at the rear of the bike next to where the wheel joins on).
